The namesake of this restaurant was one of the 'trio' of the most prominent restaurants in LA during the 30's, 40's and 50's (the other two were Ciro's, which is now The Comedy Store at 8433 W. Sunset, and Mocambo, which has since been torn down and replaced with a parking lot at 8588 W. Sunset.). Trocadero Cafe's original location was at, which is now the parking lot for an upscale outdoor mall on Sunset called Sunset Plaza at 8610 W. Sunset Blvd.
