The ornate gate on the left hand side of this building is from the Garden of Allah, which was a famous hotel/bungalow complex which was home to many Hollywood stars. Garden of Allah once took up this entire area south-west of Crescent Heights Blvd. at 8152 W. Sunset Blvd.

More recently, this was the location of a very trendy bar named Union. It was a favorite spot among young stars such as Matt Dillon and Shannon Doherty.
