This was the location of the famed Schwab's Pharmacy, which was home-away-from-home for many Hollywood writers and stars in its heyday. It was erroneously fabled to have been where Lana Turner was discovered. F. Scott Fitzgerald had a heart attack here while buying a pack of cigarettes. It was demolished in the 80's, then developed into the Virgin Megastore a decade later.
